Hi my name is Robert. I read the book Around the Twist by Paul Jennings. I liked the chapter about the Spaghetti Pig-out the best, especially when the cat was frozen by the remote.
I like the way Paul Jennings describes how things happen. Does anyone else have a favourite chapter from this book?
Robert.

Hi there. I've just read your post and after your recommendation I'm going to read that PJ book. Your mention of Spaghetti reminds me of a fantastically sensual poem... "Spaghetti, spaghetti, you wonderful stuff, I love you, spaghetti, I can't get enough, You're covered with sauce and you're sprinkled with cheese, Spaghetti, spaghetti, oh give me more please" ... It goes on and on ... the poet obviously enjoyed his spaghetti ... I'm not absolutely sure but I have a notion the poem was by Jack Prelutsky.

Maybe you might see if you can find it or write your own poem to your favourite food.

PS Sorry to take your discussion off track a bit.

Hi Cecilia
You're right about getting off track. I have not read that poem yet but I reckon I will because our class is doing poems. I hope you like Around the Twist. Tell me which is your favourite Chapter after you have read it.

Hi Robert,
I love "Around the Twist", and so do my daughters!
I wonder if the TV series is a good thing or a bad thing when it comes to the books. Do you think it's best to read the book first, then see the TV show, or do you think it's good to watch it first then read???

Hi Julie. I personally think that the TV show is just as good as the book and that you don't have to read the book first. It does help though! It's a great show and fun to watch! I love Paul Jennings and I think this is one of his best books. I have been reading them since i was 11 and I'm now 15!

Round the Twist really makes you think sometimes about the abnormal and outta this world! It's a great TV series and the books are excellent. Paul Jennings is really talented to be able to write with such intensity and weirdness! (Weirdness?! What a word!! Might change that to imaginativity or creativness!) All stories are very entertaining and I must agree with Francheska de rome, the guy starring as Pete on the TV series is cute!!!!

I liked the Round the Twist TV series while it was on. The TV series, of course doesn't follow the book word-for-word, but it kind of gives it another dimension (not that the books aren't alive with weird things!)
One of my favourite chapters is the one when Julie (I think) is able to read people's minds with her crazy, but smelly hairdo!

I really enjoyed this book and it was extremely funny! I read this book because I enjoyed the series on T.V so much.
Paul Jennings is a great writer, his books are all filled with crazy original ideas. I have read some other books of his and they are all funny and exciting.
